After quitting my job as a teacher, I took to painting in 1999 and had my first exhibition last year. Here are some of my views on art and painting: I do think that, after all, painting will be the art medium of the future, because it offers far more opportunity than all concept art, video installations or multi-media objects together. I do not deny that there have been some achievements in the afore-mentioned catogories over the last decades. But on the whole I would think that they are now rather on the decline, whereas New Painting has been gaining ground lately. I plead for more intolerance in matters of art as the sixties permissiveness did not advance the notion of art but rather helped to abolish it») (cf.
