des visages et des corps sculptés par Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux
(1827 - 1875) a longtemps paru trop peu académique pour
figurer sur la façade avant de l'opéra Garnier. L'ensemble
s'appelle pourtant "La danse" - Musée d'Orsay, Paris (France)

Cette fontaine de bronze se trouve dans le jardin Marco Polo,
qui prolonge l'avenue de l'Observatoire en direction des
jardins du Luxembourg. Elle a été conçue par Davioud en
1873. Les chevaux marins ont été sculptés par Frémiet, et
les quatre femmes soutenant le globe, représentant les quatre
